What are the dates for Destination Cancun?
Destination Cancun will take place from Thursday 28th April to Monday 2nd May, 2022.
What is the cost of the Destination Cancun package?
Package prices vary by room category. Rates are available from US $1,700 per person (double occupancy). Triple and quad occupancy are available at even lower rates! CLICK HERE for more info.
What is the minimum deposit to reserve a room?
Deposits are based on room category. Double occupancy deposits available from as low as US $160 per person. CLICK HERE to view pricing.
Will my cruise pre-booking payment be transferred?
Once you opt in to Melé Destination Cancun, you will receive an email with instructions to register and how to apply your cruise pre-booking payment.
Is Melé Destination Cancun all-inclusive?
Yes! Your package includes all Melé events, meals and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You may dine at any of the 16 restaurants & bars throughout the resort. All events are drinks inclusive. This is NOT a cruise.
Can I stay at another resort?
There are no packages available for guests staying outside the resort. All events take place at the resort and no external guests will be allowed to attend.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, all guests must be 18 years or older on the date of arrival.
Will Melé Cruise again?
Yes! At this time, the cruise lines are updating their standards and protocols to ensure a safe return to cruising. We are working with them to identify a future date for our first cruise and will keep you informed as this develops.
Are you hiring staff?
Thank you for your interest however we are not hiring at this time.
Where do the events take place?
Events will take place at various venues throughout the extensive Moon Palace resort. Guests will receive a full itinerary listing dates, times, venues and themes for each event via email.
Can I purchase event tickets separately?
All events are included in your package. All events take place at various venues throughout the resort and no external guests will be allowed.
Are there any all-inclusive events?
All events will be drinks inclusive. Food is always available to guests at multiple restaurants throughout the resort all of which are included in your package.
Which artistes / entertainers will be performing?
Machel Montano is the headline act for Melé Destination Cancun 2022. Stay tuned as we reveal the full lineup!

What are the payment options?
Payments can be made online via credit card (Visa or MasterCard only)
Are payment plans available?
Absolutely! When reserving your room, you will have the option to pay in full or select a payment plan. This will afford you the opportunity to pay for this once-in-a-lifetime trip in manageable monthly instalments.
Is airfare included in the package price?
Airfare is not included in your package. All guests are responsible for booking their own airfare.
What airport should I fly to?
Guests should fly to Cancún International Airport (CUN). The resort is located just 15mins from this airport.
Do I need a US visa?
A US visa is not required for entry into Cancun, Mexico however if you are travelling through the United States, you are required to have the necessary travel documents for entry into the US which may include a US visa.
If you reside outside of the US, it is not necessary to travel through the US as there are alternate routes available. For example, residents of Trinidad & Tobago may travel through Panama to arrive in Cancun and therefore do not require a US visa. Please select a route that is appropriate for you and ensure you have the necessary travel documentation for that route.
Do I need a passport?
Yes, you will need a valid, unexpired passport that is valid for at least 180 days after your arrival date to enter Mexico. Please check your passport for validity before booking. It is your responsibility to ensure you have a valid passport for travel.
Is a visa required for entry into Cancun, Mexico?
A visa is not required to travel to Cancun from most countries including USA, Canada, UK, Trinidad & Tobago and most Caribbean countries. It is your responsibility to determine if you require any special travel documents and to obtain them.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in Time: 3pm
Check-out Time: 12 noon
If you arrive before the official check in time (3pm), we suggest you bring a small carry-on bag so that you may enjoy the resort until your room is ready. You are welcome to take advantage of the locker and shower facilities at the health club if needed.
Check out after 12 noon is not permitted.
Is Transportation To And From Cancún International Airport Included?
Yes, shuttle transportation between Cancún International Airport and the Moon Palace Cancún resort is included in your package. There will be a deadline by which all guest flight information should be submitted via our booking confirmation form. We will send out the booking confirmation form via email in the near future – please stay tuned for it!
Please note: shuttle transportation is only included between Cancún International Airport and the Moon Palace Cancun; no other airports or resorts in the area will be serviced.
Do I have to pay for internet access?
No, internet access is included in your package.
Can I Purchase Additional Nights at the Resort before or after the Melé?
Yes! Additional nights can be purchased at a preferred rate HERE directly with the resort. Please ensure to purchase the same room category as your Melé if you want to avoid having to switch rooms.
As of today, Mexico is OPEN to visitors and no special requirements, health tests, or quarantines are required. This is subject to change and you will be required to comply with the entry requirements on the date of travel. We do expect by April 2022 most, if not all Covid-19 regulations would be relaxed.
The Purely Palace program at Moon Palace goes beyond the already stringent quality controls and health measures in place, with the implementation of more than 250 preventative actions to assure everyone’s health and safety, including a Purely Palace health certification in every room on arrival, guaranteeing its complete disinfection.
All travellers entering Mexico BY AIR from another country are required to complete a health questionnaire which can be submitted online. This is in ADDITION to the Tourist Card which can also be submitted online. These details will be emailed to you 30 days before your trip.
Will a Covid vaccine be required to attend?
At this time a Covid vaccine is not required to join us in the Melé however this is subject to change based on the health requirements of the Mexican Government. Additionally, unvaccinated patrons can expect more testing and stricter protocols.
Keep in mind there may be other requirements from other governments, airlines etc that you may need to be in compliance with to travel internationally.
Will masks be required?
We are hoping that masks will not be required however we will follow WHO guidelines and local guidelines at the time of our trip. Keep in mind that airports and/or airlines may require masks during your travels to Mexico. You may also be required to wear a mask on transportation to and from the airport and any excursions you choose to take. You may also have to wear a mask in the indoor restaurants at the resort. We do expect by April 2022 most, if not all Covid-19 regulations would be relaxed.
Be prepared and stay up to date on the latest WHO requirements and recommendations!
Will negative Covid-19 tests be required at check-in?
As of today, negative Covid-19 tests will be required to check-in. This policy may be revised closer to the time of our trip and you will be notified via email. Unvaccinated patrons may be required to undergo additional testing on arrival. Safety is our highest priority and we will be implementing all best practices leading up to the event.
What happens if I test positive for COVID-19 before arrival? Will I get a refund?
No. Package refunds will not be given to guests who test positive for COVID-19. We recommend purchasing travel insurance from a third party that covers COVID-19 related illnesses.
